Empower Workers, Uplift Communities
In the remote corners of Northeast India, there are countless skilled individuals eager to build a better future for themselves and their families. However, without access to training, healthcare, or stable employment opportunities, many face significant challenges in breaking the cycle of poverty.
Rupa Chakma’s story is one such example. At just 27 years old, Rupa faced the harsh reality of life as a divorcee in a small village in Mizoram, where cultural stigmas and limited job opportunities made it difficult for her to support herself. Determined to change her situation, Rupa connected with Sitiwork in search of a new beginning. Through our vocational training program, she gained skills in housekeeping and caregiving that allowed her to secure a stable job in Delhi.
Now, Rupa earns enough to support her family back home, sending money for her siblings' education and ensuring that her elderly parents receive the care they need. Her journey is one of resilience, hope, and empowerment—and it’s just one of the many stories that show how your support can change lives.
Your donation can make a real difference. With ₹1,000, you can fund a week of training for a worker like Rup. With ₹5,000, you can provide essential healthcare support to a worker in need. Every contribution, big or small, helps us create more success stories like Rupa's.
Join us in empowering workers and uplifting communities. Your generosity today can transform a life tomorrow. Donate Now to be part of this mission.
